Colleagues at the San Francisco Bay Area Super Bowl 50 Host Committee, Pat Gallagher and Stephanie Martin chronicle how a small band of like-minded Bay Area residents came together to not only host the world’s single largest annual event, but also to give new meaning to the entire experience in Big Game, Bigger Impact. Among stories from the two-year run-up to Super Bowl 50, they have highlighted the organizational values that drove the Host Committee, as well as some of the lessons learned along the way, lessons that they believe could benefit any business.
Stephanie Martin is the co-founder of BrandForward, a brand consultancy that works with athletes on their brand strategy. An accomplished marketing and communications professional, she previously shaped consumer outreach, stakeholder engagement and brand development strategies for Fortune 500 companies such as The Home Depot and SUPERVALU, and major sporting events including Super Bowl 50 and the 34th America’s Cup.
Pat Gallagher is a pioneer in the sports, entertainment and visitor industries, and played a key role in the success of the landmark Super Bowl 50 Host Committee. Best known for his long career as the innovative “idea guy” for the San Francisco Giants, Gallagher is proud to have made the “fun business” his life’s work. Pat is also one of the hosts of the podcast Life in the Front Office which interviews the leading voices in the sports industry.
